Hi Atty,
I am seeking advise on my current situation. I have been employed in a private company for 4 months now. I signed their contract for 2 years. Last month, October 13, I planned to apply for a UK tourist visa (I have been invited by my fiance) and requested a COE and Leave of Absence (for a month) to my employer. My target date of departure is before christmas and told them that I needed the CoE and Leave of Absence for my application. In my disappointment, they didn't give me anything, I followed up my request for a couple of times (as I need it urgent) but they just keep on saying "it's still for HR manager's signature." It went on for a month. This November 2, I decided to apply for a UK tourist Visa (for 3 months this time, because I put unemployed due to No COE and No leave of absence) and my visa was granted this week.
I was planning to do an immediate resignation as I know the company wont allow 3 months of leave. I can't also apply the 30 day notice rule because I was meant to fly before I can accomplish the 30 days.
If I present to them my visa and my plane ticket, can they approve my resignation?
They are aware that I will be going abroad, they just disregarded my leave of absence when I said I was going to apply for UK. They think I wont be able to make it but I did and I am going to resign.
Can you advise me on this please?
Thank you!
