Hi, I am currently employed in a catholic school (private) here in Philippines. School year starts at June and ends in March or Apr. And before the sch yr ends (February), we are asked to submit a letter of intent if we will be/ or want to stay for the nxt school yr. (SY) In my case, i submitted a letter of intent to stay. My question is, how about if i hv changed my mind, and not continue for the nxt SY.? Is that letter considered as job contract? if i resigned , is it considered a breachment of contract? Because old employees here, are telling me that the institution has the right to file a case against me, at may have ask for damages.
