TOPIC: falsely accused in school

falsely accused in school 4 years 2 months ago #15996

Hi. I am college student (3rd yr bs accountancy)

I am a working student in our school. My duty post is in the College Audio Visual Center (no cctv) and Internet Section (has cctv but the counter is not seen) which both are part of the college library. Last Wednesday, (Aug. 12, 2015), there was an incident happened in my duty post and my two coworkers and I were being accused of theft (i don't know if that 's the right term). Around 10 am the incident happened. One student has left her wallet on our post at the edge of our counter. I was the one who found it and I kept it in the cabinet under the counter for safety. The wallet was under my care for 10 minutes. And then when my duty ends, I placed it in the drawer inside the Audio Visual Center, and I told my coworker Ate L that I found a wallet. And then I don't know at what exact time did the student claim the wallet and the person on duty that time was Ate J. But at 12:01 nn my immediate supervisor called me over the phone asking me if how much was the money in the wallet and I said I have no idea because I did not open it. Ate L said she heard me when I told her about the wallet but has no idea where did I put it because that day was really a busy day. So when the student claimed IT to ate J she said her 2k were missing. And that we are being accused that we were the one who stole it. We have neglected to report it to our immediate supervisor because like I said that day was a very busy day for us. from 7:30-10:20 I was the only one assisting the students who went in our section and that day I had to assist 50 students (estimation) I didn't want to leave my post to surrender it to my immediate supervisor plus, I was waiting for the student to come back and claim her wallet. Before I left my duty post, I roam around and asked the students there and few of her classmates, who's the owner of the wallet. No one claimed until I turned it over to my coworkers. My two coworkers said they also did't open it because they didn't even have the time to sit because of assisting other students. And the day after that, after they reviewed the cctv and they saw nothing in there, we were still the prime suspects. Please someone gives his/her advise here, we really have to defend ourselves. We never opened that wallet and now we feel like the office is protecting the other party because her mother is an employee in our school. Please Please help us... thank you

Just stick with the truth. Always, the truth prevails. Accusations must be proved. Just go on with a clean conscience.
