Theft Shoplifting. Help. :( 1 year 6 months ago #17850

Good Day.

Me and my wife were caught shoplifting worth 8k+ (total of items) in a Department store last Feb 9th. We posted bail last Feb 15th. And now we have an Arraignment on Feb 22 (this coming thursday) So my question is, do we plead guilty? (which we are really guilty of) and if we do that, what would be the repercussions of it? Are we gonna go straight to jail?

We we're told by our complainant's secretary that there will be a Mediation after the Arraignment.

So does that mean that we can settle an amount to pay them instead of going to jail? (in which we are willing to, with the proper appropriate price)

And does admitting our guilt in the Arraignment pushes us to this Mediation that they're talking about? or not? Because if not. Then is pleading not guilty more optional for us?

Sorry for so many questions. I really don't know what to do and what will happen to us in the Arraignment. Please help us.
